This is a study of 1. I've made the mistake of reading too much into any single issue. Interestingly, this woman brings up an excellent point. Many of the patients in the VB-111 trial get their VB-111 at a tertiary center, but get their Avastin locally. Some have to fly(or drive), not easy in the best of circumstances.

There is another similar thread on Inspire where the patient gets VB-111 in October or November, has an improvement on next month's MRI, with the oncologist being happy they were getting a response, BUT the patient developed severe pain/numbness/weakness/twitching in the left leg which became so bad, the oncologist did another MRI of the Brain--which was stable and the spine which showed no tumor, but the guy apparently had horrible disc bulging/spinal stenosis in the low back. So the problems--in this case--were not due to VB-111 or the brain tumor, but due to something nobody was expecting.

Sometimes rGBM can come back in the spine, which is horrible / that's why you see the oncologist in rGBM checking MRI of the cervical spine.

The stories on Inspire are heart wrenching, making you realize money isn't everything... by a long shot. But the stories are also somehow inspiring as well, showing patients and families and friends fight this dreadful disease. I suspect the platinum refractory recurrent ovarian cancer patient stories are just as heart wrenching.
