Snackman, I've followed the garbage that has been hurled at you over the years and admired your tenacity in the face of that kind of abuse. It could not have been easy and I am sure I was only seeing the tip of the iceberg. I've even wondered occasionally what would drive somebody to spend all that time and face that vindictiveness, but I've met you in person and you seemed pretty normal to me, so I've accepted the fact that there are indeed, some decent, selfless human beings still out there, and you happen to be one of them. For that I've been thankful, and if Wave turns out to be the superstar that we longs hope for, then our speculation will have been rewarded with no little thanks to your efforts. If not, one has only oneself to blame.

As far as the board is concerned, with the Intel announcement a large part of your job has hopefully been completed by this time, anyway. New concerns will arise, but they will not be based on the kind of conjecture of "survive or fail" that required absolute faith with the respect to the technology and finances that have been so much of the past. On IHub we lose the control that you afforded us previously in any event, so by stepping down I'm not sure if we will see much difference anyway. Hopefully Matt will provide a reasonable amount of order. We've already seen a lot of disingenuos posters returning and I find myself only reading a much smaller percentage of total posts than before, and I'll probably use ignore a lot more frequently. That should work out for most of us.

The bad news is the shameless racist attacks you'be been exposed to. The good news is that it only happened because you've been extraordinarily successful, and the stakes are getting high enough that some "people" will use any means to prevent Wave's success. Thanks again for your efforts.
