I agree with you. It's in the past. I was only using it as an example of where buy and hold can really sting. There's no right or wrong answer. Both can be good strategies, even do both at the same time. On one stock, I'm keeping a core long term amount of shares that I refuse to sell. Buy and hold them like you. And yet I'm now trading the rest to take advantage of the volatility.

I agree with you LQMT has a bright future ! I'm very bullish on it. New CEO has a lot of irons in the fire ! Eventually maybe I will build up a core position to hold. I'm just not there yet. Good luck ! We're on the same side even if you don't think so lol
