Oh didn't know that. I wonder if they hired him for promotional reasons in the first place knowing he was on the show even though he apparently warned them something would come out. You bring up a really good point about how no one really knows the stress and mental situation they go through. Hopefully, he never would have done something like that under more normal conditions. I think he is truly sorry for what he did, but I don't for a minute think that he did it not knowing the guy wasn't out. His initial reason for doing it was purely greed with absolutely no sense of compassion. Just wanted to do whatever he could to stay in the game. That's the bottom line. I'm sure people who commit crimes that put them in jail wish they could take it back and wish they never did it also. He majorly f'd up. I do feel sorry for him in a way but he did it. And the fact that he is an older gay guy you would think he would feel a bit more compassion for someone and their difficulties being accepted. I'm sure he went through similar situations in terms of being gay in a straight world - especially when he was growing up and things were different back then.
