Regarding Cyprus and One World Cannabis (OWCP) there is an 8K filling about the company contracting with a marketing company based in Cyprus. The company pre paid upfront $300,00(US) in stock for future services. That's how I understood it.
Interestingly, an earlier filing included the exact $300,000 amount. It was a deal with a company called Medmar that no one seems able to locate to distribute company products in the US. This Medmar shelled out $300,000(US) for the distribution rights. That's how I understood it.
Never another mention of this mysterious Medmar in later filings. It may be connected to a Baltimore attorney. To find out the facts one would have to contact a Washington Post reporter who wrote a series of articles about Maryland's medical marijuana bill and the politics involved in licensing to grow as well the retail shops where the products will be sold.
There was a brief discussion about this Medmar on the OWCP forum, with many participants claiming Medmar had obtained a retailer's license. An actual check of the companies that were approved was available from a Maryland government website. Medmar wasn't on the list.
That little factoid, of course, was dismissed as irrelevant and immaterial.
