Actually, I didn't miss it. I got into talking about earlier stuff and didn't update the buffer properly...

As I stated in an earlier post, I can only see two reasons why Coatue was both and merged into FASL. 1) Coatue finally has something or 2) the creation of the new FASL wounds up violating some term(s) with their agreement with Coatue and it was simpler to buy them out. I gather from the earlier articles, AMD's original agreement with Coatue was limted. This makes the rationale for buying them when they did even more interesting. In addition, why did they keep it a secret?
