3 seconds for a 1.6GB file? that is indeed some "SICK" speed.

I can't comprehend the amount of traffic it'd take for that kind of hard drive bandwidth to become a bottleneck! Of course, many moons ago, I couldn't imagine how I'd ever use up all of my first 30-meg hard drive.

My very first PC was a Zenith x286 machine. Instead of the optional 30-meg hardrive, i opted for dual 5.25 floppies, and i thought that was so cool.
The next computer was an x386 based, i did opt for the 30meg hardrive and on top of that, it was an EISA based motherboard (it had two EISA slots i think). Gosh, i loved that one...it was way back when, but the case had the flip out cover that you now see on the new Dell XPS'.

after that, i built them all myself until about 2 years ago...with it occurred to me it was too much time for little savings.
