And we need to know this, IMO the only one's that do know this at this time are the Brokers and DTC. One idea that IMO can help is collect all the time and sales everyday on PAVC, the same as I asked for and you supplied for Aug 3, 2006. I do not have level 11 and time and sales to do this but I am sure someone has and can track this everyday.
We can take a share count of PAVC shares held non restricted and restricted. We can then match the time and sales of shares traded. As you saw by this link the monthly shares traded

Now where do we go from here, what else can we do to find the answers to your posts?

When a a short position is caught in CNS (according to one source) - is ceases to become a share-based position. It becomes a CASH position. Now it's just a matter of dollars, NOT shares.

We should attempt to learn more about this. Obviously, the shares are still short - we're holding millions of them right now. How those get "washed" or bought back - and at what price - is a critical question.
