This is a profiler as well as an analyzer, meaning it will take what strain (regardless of why) and allows you to store that profile for reference in matching this strains properties for future purchase. MYDX analyzer is exactly that, it analyzes information given, so just like computers and people "garbage in garbage out". A commercial testing device such as the one used at WSU to test my ranches alfalfa are completely different. Because of the legality issue and the university's federal funding it cannot test Marijuana. In Washington State, Marijuana will be treated much like alcohol as far as labeling an % requirements. So we will have to post and prove labeled regulations as well as other data just like anything for human consumption. This will become a federally adopted process in time. I am in Canada right now and it appears they are largely going follow what the US adopts since it will be a huge market for them as well. Regardless this is an expense the average consumer cannot afford to test for in a lab type environment. So the inexpensive analyzer makes sense, although obviously not as accurate as a lab, will give you a profile to compare against. So even if the reading was not 100% accurate, if the product gave to you the desired effect you could as a consumer locate this type of product again much more accurately than guessing. It does a couple other things that are of advantage to the consumer also. The cannalyzer 420 is extremely expensive and not near as accurate as a lab device. Proper testing requires the following:

None of which can be performed in a setting anything other than a lab for the sake of control. So your argument is as baseless as it is inaccurate.
