The second phase of "the gamble" needs to be clarified

(i.e. the fundamental question is whether the common shareholders will profit in any way from the windfall -- and that is the gamble here)

The first being as quoted above

The second being, will there be a windfall

Each gamble comes with significant odds against. Risking those odds concurrently may exponentially increase them to somewhere akin to us walking around the planet Jupiter in a space suit next week discussing the origins of "geigenbispiel"

However, with big risk comes big reward.

So, I understand, to a point (I suppose)
