I understand this tech is complicated and seems like "magic" to some. I know a lot about how this works and it doesn't work at all without every aspect in place and functioning in unison. You did get something sort of correct. The test strips you can buy on the manufactures website do make sure the water won't kill you. They were contracted to help develop and supply with a standard no compete clause. So you won't find the same strip there unless it's authorized for sale thru them by MYDX.
