Even Greenlight capital, hedgefunds that invested in sunedison had no freakin idea. They are suppose to be professionals. they probably understood the reports better than us and yet greenlight thought it was a good investment. On the down low, Sunedison sold all the good completed projects to the yieldcos and I have no idea what they did with all the money they borrowed to pay for acquisitions, yet they took up the debt of the acquired company while the completed companies went to the yieldcos. Greenlight had a person on the sunedison board and couldn't figure what happened. There was a point in time, where sunedison wanted to dilute the stocks and Greenlight objected to it. I still agree with that decision. When it's still the same asshole management... it's still a matter of time before it died. even if they acquired Vivant. Sunedison would still fall sooner or later. Management probably spent it on cocaine, prostitutes or placed it in offshore accounts. I have no idea. no one does. There's no evidence of this, there's no auditor or examiner. The usual auditor for sunedison probably couldn't find the problem in all the overlapping numbers that includes this but not that. It's not overly optimistic that caused the company to die. It's bad management + lies + fraud. It's just whether the judge or anyone else want to do anything about it. It's a matter of how much someone cares to go out of their way to help.

If someone high up cared enough... yeah they could do something about it... but this sunedison case. not likely. I apologize for this long tangent.
