It is surprising that some patients can eventually deduce which arm they were in, and how many injections with actual vaccine they received. In Sunday's case, she knew she was always on the vaccine because she was EOT after crossover with only 1 more injection left -- inclusion criteria states you must have at least 5 immunizations worth of vaccine to be eligible for enrollment into the trial. Maybe it was determined to be unethical to keep the patient blinded to treatment in this particular situation.
