They do this at the conference, with their banner/poster behind them, because "coming to you live from the DFCON conference" with the production value of a lot of people in attendance and the set up of a booth etc lends itself to showing that you have a product to sell and creates an image of activity, compared to just filming an interview sitting at a desk in an office.
I am surprised we are not seeing any form of advertising like this. I am not someone that expects to see a new PR everyday as another person commented, but this conference has been the big deal on the VDRM horizon for some time and it would have been an inexpensive, low tech way to get news about VDRM and Otiko in front of possible investors.
