Not really that strange. I was in actc/ocata when that happened. LPC provides funding for many small biotechs. Often times when these small companies are desperate with very few options. That funding is also rarely in the type of favolrable terms like we got. Actc had great promise but much further out than avxl. They were deperate and sold out of necessity.

We are in a completely different situation in regard to our prospects, financing, near term catylsts, etc. IMO. Just a coincidence. I wouldn't read much into it. Although I believe good news is on the horizon. I believe your advisor is making an educated guess. With all of the recent developments and the steps taken so far, it seems the writing is on the wall.
