Best result could perhaps be a lot closer to $10 BILLION.

Under the patent laws the "look back" is only allowed for 6 years. Lifescan earned about $300 million per year in the U.S. during the 6 years ending in 2016.

That would come to an unbelievable $1.8 billion if the judge would award all of the disgorged profits.

More likely the judge will see that Lifescan hung themselves from their own petard when their own VP of Marketing and Sales testified that the DECN product would cost Lifescan $170 million in profits each year that the company's Genstrip would be allowed to be sold. That's where the $700 million figure DECN uses came from IMO.
