Conference: Dr. Missling says that phase 3 in AD should be always a confirmatory study based on the tough criteria they set up for phase 2 failure. They would rather set up the drug to fail in phase 2 so they would save money and for ethical patient reasons.( Did not fail in phase2) Also the PK data coming will be used to determine whom benefited the most and set up Phase 3 in those type of patients. SO it seems to me they will be setting up Phase 3 for major success ! Also noted, he said 1/3 of the patients improved above baseline established a year ago. THAT'S UNHEARD OF.
