I'm not sure how deep of a business operations role Dr. Otiko should play either. He may be far more suited to stick with the science, R&D, and product development aspects.

That said, don't you think this is why Ivan Klarich was brought on board? They mention everything from quality control to manufacturing to marketing and distribution. Maybe I'm stretching a PR a little too much, but it almost sounds like this fellow is sitting in a chair marked "COO"?

And I've known plenty of COO's that have a far more involved role in day to day operations management and company leadership than the President/CEO/etc.
