I glean a couple things from this very relevant article Gold so generously posted:

1. Determining damages in IP litigation is a complex process.
2. The "apportionment" question is heavily in the favor of SFOR since the main feature of infringing products in question directly infringe SFOR patents and therefore damages should be a very high percentage of sales/profits of infringing products.
