I don't know that an exact amount was specified. You will have to go read the Annual Report from Caulfield Research hospital. That is where it was mentioned. Common sense says that since the last phase test went well that the Aussies would continue to pay the bill. It is to their benefit to do so when you think of the tremendous costs of dealing with the Alzheimers patients they have and will have in their health system.
Also Dr Missling when asked in some interview a month or so back stated we have enough cash for two years. That was just after he mentioned all three tests. Rett, Parkinson, Alzheimer.

If I had to make a guess regarding the previous and ongoing tests at Caulfield I would say that Anavex provided the drug. And most likely the costs of the evaluation of the results. The rest was probably all paid by Caulfield and the AU Govt.

As to the naysayers regarding No Placebo in the testing group. I would say that ZERO NADA NoOne who has Alzheimer will go a year plus without a reduction in cognitive ability.

My own personal experience. My own Mother had Alzheimer the same as three generations of all Females born of a Female in my Mothers Family. None of the Males have ever had it. When my Mother got to the point of not being able to live in her home with just a daycare caretaker we moved her into our home for her last 19 months of life. Full time caretaker plus my wife and myself. The last 9 months I also was retired and there all the time as well. Mother was mentally as sharp as a tack until her last 2.5 years. The last year it was sometimes I was ME, Sometimes I was my Father who had passed away 10+ years prior. And sometimes I was that "THING" that was married to my wife. So I have been there and got the Tee Shirt as they say.
