Doesn't work that way. Margin account or cash account determine if shares can be lent (I forget which is which though)

EVERYONE should put 60 day open sell orders for 1$ on all shares! This way your broker cannot lend your shares out to shorters !!

"It is easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled."

For those that don't get it, it means that people need to be more careful, and do good due diligence.
