Both Axona and AC-1204 work on the same principle, but differ in terms of bioavailability, taste, format etc, Stacey said.


Stacy is the CEO of Accera. If he was quoted accurately in the article, I have no faith in AC-1204.

Axona works by slightly and very temporarily raising serum ketones. For me, it made my ketones go from not registering on a meter to barely registering, for 30-60 minutes per dose. It was not worthwhile. Another way to do the same thing is to consume coconut oil.

A much better, long-term way to raise serum ketones a lot and constantly is to adopt a ketogenic diet (extremely low-carb, adequate-protein, high-fat). With Mild Cognitive Impairment, keto helps me a lot, but it has not helped me recover.
