I'm am much more optimistic regarding how early the pickup on V will be..To some degree it's going to be a function of how good the results are...But really great events like a safe drug which cuts CVD risk is going to be news that even filters down to you primaries...We are in the information era. I was really surprised by the article on EPA published in the JAHA...These guys have been in lockstep against home remedies for years...

A year ago in Dec I actually went to the AHA annual meeting..which was in Orlando and listened to the CHERRY presentation on plaque reduction. The lecture was at 5:30 PM when most of the docs had lefty for the day. It was in a small lecture room attended by about 60 people...It was in a series of 15 min papers..The presentation was by a young Japanese who was not fluent in English and spoke so softly I could barely hear him. After the lecture there was the compulsory comments from the AHA monitor who predictably asked about the statin levels..After some delay in communication the fact was established that maximum statin doses were used.

I think this recent article means that the AHA is coming around to the notion that EPA is the real deal...And if the R=I numbers are good its going to be a huge deal and news everywhere...
