I don't disagree that it will save very little time. Just a pet peeve of mine, I think it would be faster to just intentionally walk someone, without having to throw a pitch. what can I tell you this might sound pitcher biased but the one thing that drives me nuts is when a pitcher get out of rhythem after and intentional walk, they could be pitching fine, and then after they can't find the plate. to me the game becomes unwatchable the minute the pitcher can't find the plate that really bothers me so I like to avoid that at all costs. and to me if you want to intentionally walk somebody why should there be any effort to do so.

One of the worst rule changes I ever heard that may of been proposed was making the strike zone smaller, first of all that would only add to the time of the game, not shorten it, we would have more pitching changes, the starters would go even shorter amounts of time. if that was ever passed it would be a disaster.

As for time the one thing that bothers me if the challenge procedure. I think this could all be done better if the managers were taken out of the game and the umps were buzzed by a central office when they wanted too look at something. rather then waiting for the manager to look at a thousand replays stroll out, and then the review takes 2-3 minutes, even if plays aren't reviewed we waste 30sec to 1 minute just waiting for the manager, I don't want to get rid of replay but I would like to make it more efficient.

---All above is just my humble opinion.
And I could always be wrong.
And as always do your own DD.---
