I am indeed a layman when it come to science also but I do know the lab they're using is highly respected and comes on the recommendation of "others" so the results will be well trusted. Let's hope the positive streak continues.

As for valuation, I can only point to the acquisition of Seragon by Roche in 2014 for 1.75B cash and milstones. They were in the middle of phase 1 trials of a modulator in the same family as NR2F6. Obviously at the time the trial must have been going well if Roche snapped them up before the trial ended.
