As mentioned, it's just a code you're buying with a download link...the availability IN stores is just for additional exposure I'm sure. A lot of older, less computer savvy folks still shop for software in brick and mortar stores...especially those who are concerned about credit card security like my great aunt, who absolutely REFUSES to use a credit/debit card or link her bank account anywhere on the internet.
