Flip... I remember watching and listening to Dr. Prados last March when he was at this same symposium last year with Dr. Prins. I got a vibe off of him then, and it's the same vibe I get off of him now.

Now I know for a fact that Dr. Berger (chief of neuro-oncology at UCSF) is no fan of NWBO. And we KNOW UCSF is NOT a part of the DCVax trial. So my read on him is that he doesn't think DCVax works - because that's what he and his UCSF gang wants to think. But he's here, hosted by the Seattle guys where DCVax is part of the trial, and they are indicating that it does work, from this video. So he's being polite. He gives L the nod, calling it the "kinda the ultimate personalized medicine approach" - but then in the same breath, tells the listener that you're not getting an inflammatory response that you can image.

Well how does he even know? What, are the Seattle guys showing him the MRIs they've seen? I doubt it. So where is he coming up with this opinion? My guess is that with all the MRI re-examination going on right now that they did see this in at least some of the images. But Dr. Prados is certainly not privy to them.

I would think those physicians who are actually involved in the trial, as well as the SAB, are hard at work figuring out why perhaps some patients might actually show the inflammatory response Dr. Prados would like to see on images he's never seen before, and why others might not. Apparently there were 3 out of 15 that previously showed it in the P1. Were those 3 treated with an adjuvant that perhaps the others weren't? I think one of them was additionally given CMV? Maybe that was Brad? Plus we've been hearing in some of the more recent patient blogs - Kat, Summer and Jefe have all indicated that they've been told a psPD response is somewhat common... but I guess Dr. Prados hasn't read their blogs.

AND YET DR. PRADOS IS "SURE" A RESPONSE IS THERE.

I mean, I’m sure it’s there, but it’s, it’s just curious… why not? - Dr. Prados

So I’m, you know it doesn’t, it seems like, you’re really trying to prime against anything that’s there, with, you know, a load of uh, uh, DC-based vaccine, but you’re not getting an inflammatory response that you can image at least. - Dr. Prados

I'm just not feeling the love from him. But I'm not worried about it because his university has nothing to do with this trial. Of course, Christine Yonemura of UCSF sure wants to know what is going on with the trial as is proven by her lawsuit. Maybe she wants to see if there is an immune response that can be imaged, lol. :)
