IT'S 10+ years EXPERIENCE using the term in CONTRACTS.

A month is the longest period of time to call something happening "soon" - because thats when bill cycles extend... you get 1 month if needed to finish/gather/fund or obtain any approvals necessary to submit the paperwork and financing necessary to consumate that contract if needed.. sort of a BUILT IN DELAY.

They say "on or "ABOUT" to cover days PRIOR to the expected date as well, because all parties could be ready to, and it could possibly benefit to close early, but NOT TOO EARLY so 30 days is the earliest. 1 bill cycle.

The reason I believe there is NO DEFINITION on Google or Wikipedia is that it doesn't mean a specific DATE... just a range with an upper and lower limit that may be looked at differently in different contexts. Not just BUSINESSWISE... like a delay because someone was sick or personal issues.

"On or about" is not talking about a couple days later - it's framing the MAX time to consumate a contract or request a TRUE delay.
