Thanks maronti1. You're right about President Trump. He stated "I will make certain our military is the best in the world in both cyber offense and defense" on 10/3/16. I believe he will try to do so. The only thing that could possibly prevent it is Congress. By the Constitution they have the power of the purse. That is exactly why I wrote all 535 members of Congress & encouraged others to write their Senator and Representative. The Congress that was recently sworn in has a greater number of veterans than recent earlier ones. This is due to members having served in America's longest war, the war on terror (15 years and counting) then returning home to run for office. These men and women know that good COMSEC saves troops lives. They will realize the gravity of the situation of these unprotected, military issue I-Phones. I believe, they will act to fix this chink in our armor, with the best defensive software, once they have been made aware of it.
