If the placebo effect can stabilize or improve patients for over a year, possibly indefinitely (who knows), why develop drugs? If placebos are that successful in reversing symptoms with no side efffects, wow, let's go with sugar pills?!
Disease treated! Fantastic. Low cost, quick trials. You would be putting the pharmaceutical industry out of business, taking away its credibility, allowing patients to meet endpoints, and reducing brain swelling and seizures. If that lasts over one year for an irreversible neurogenerative devastating disease...sign me up!
