believe it or not..

the "naysayer" would still find a way to explain away the results..

even in a spinal cord injury trial where the patient walks..

or a cancer trial where a tumor disappears..

because there are cases where a certain number of patients "spontaneously" heal

(tumors disappear or the body heals itself from a complete spinal chord injury to an incomplete injury in certain cases)..

but eventually a well run trial will statistically quiet the doubters.

Imo it should be observed..

that AD and its progression.. does not historically offer much hope for those who have progressed
beyond a certain point (placebo or no placebo)..

the longer these patients stay well.. the longer these "placebo/no placebo" arguments seem to be less relevant imo.
