He doesn't need to email anyone. Shares held in street name (like mine that I bought and hold at Schwab!) show as being held at DTC and most assuredly are in the float without any further research required.

If I could afford to buy all of them, I would not need to buy any of them and I sure wouldn't be spending time on the message boards!
