New PPIG patent in the works.
There previous two patent attempts for the parallel power input gearbox (they call it PPIG) were abandoned due to lack of response. The last one in Nov 2016. I figured they had resubmitted and started over, and that finally turned up on uspto.gov site. Looks like they resubmitted Oct 5 2016. It will be a few months before it gets pushed to an examiner and a couple of years before it gets accepted (if it does), unless references to earlier patent attempts speeds things up. But what is important is that they have a patent application in place to protect them. I was thinking they wouldn't start demoing without something submitted. That is the last patent I can find any sign of being current. I think they are stretching the truth on number of patents under review and including the abandoned and long dead ones in their list.
