Your welcome,

I can't PM, but I don't see any mystery here. They lost 5 of 6 to the Royals and Devil Rays and two of three to Detroit before this.

The injuries to Clement, Foulke and Wells were huge as it created the need to use all the kids who should of been in AAA (except Papelbon). They are not used to these type of innings and certainly are not used to this kind of pressure.

It will be interesting to see how they respond, if it sets them back or makes them better. This year was supposed to be a rebuilding year with stopgaps at short, third and second but they played well enough to have a great first half.

Unfortunately Lowell and A-Gon's bats have gone cold, Trot and Tek have been gone and Crisp was lost for half the year. Now Manny and Youks are questionable.

They are only 4-12 in their last sixteen with a trip to the west coast on tap. It is concievable, although unlikely, they could end up only being a .500 team by the time the season is over.

Hopefully they can step it up and overcome all the adversity.
