Should the business owners not take the largest hit?
It is a little hard to ask investors to feel sorry for Cyclone if the owners lost money in the endeavor...although the amount of money lost is in question because they did take in quite a bit of investor money and used it for "administrative costs". And they knew the whole scam was a lie from the beginning so I am sure they protected themselves.

We may not know how much they lost (if anything) but we all know what we lost. Cyclone was able to spend millions of investor dollars fooling more investors in to giving them millions more dollars. The problem is that based on the responses from Cyclone you understand that they feel no shame or remorse for their actions. Further proving the point that they knew about this scam from the start.
