I didn't expect the ActiPatch to heal tears.

My MRI showed several small tears. An MRI of any joint in my body is going to show several small tears -- I did a lot of manual labor in my youth, including a 10-year stint moving furniture for Mayflower.

No surgery was required on my shoulder. I did PT for about a month and otherwise rested the arm. The pain was steady and distracting and kept me from sleeping well. I was the PERFECT candidate for OTC pain relief products.

I tried the ActiPatch just to reduce the pain in my shoulder, not to repair tears. The ActiPatch didn't reduce my pain, not even a LITTLE. To those who imply I didn't follow the instructions: I turned it ON and I put it ON my shoulder and I left it ON my shoulder. The green light was ON. I even tested it with an AM radio to make sure I didn't "buy a placebo device." (remember that discussion?)

What worked: an ice pack. The ice pack was AMAZING. Instant pain relief. I slept with an ice pack wrapped on my shoulder and I slept well.

My shoulder should have been the PERFECT application for the ActiPatch: relieve some swelling and relieve some pain. It failed.

Fast forward to TODAY, a few months later. The pain is pretty much gone -- I have full mobility, better than the 90% the PT told me I'd get. I still don't have all the weight back on the bench press.
