an open source Aim program could be developed that would work like the old Newport Program with the pretty charts



Well, I'm sort of looking at this. I've had conversations with the Grabber (Steve) a few years back. I have an app for Android/iOS/Windows that does AIM including LD-AIM. It's not quite ready for prime time (It needs a better user interface (UI), etc.) as my day job keeps me fairly busy at night too. Maybe I can place it in a GitHub repo that others can access and make requests/changes. Got me thinking...

Maybe NEWPORT could be reverse engineered.
