In the June 21st article about 3dicon targeting Semi-conductors and Solar Energy first the article stated : Based on these competitive advantages and inquiries from potential users, Coretec anticipates that CHS will first be used as an alternative to silane or trichlorosilane in silicon-based semiconductor and solar cell manufacturing. Doug went on to say in that article..... Doug Freitag, VP of Technology and Business Development, 3DIcon. "With an initial focus on semiconductor and solar energy applications, followed closely by energy storage and printable electronics, we believe we have the pieces in place to bring commercialized products to market." ..But its interesting to note that in the news release about the partnership with Gelest worth 500,000 dollars it becomes clear 3dicon is moving on getting into the Lithium-ion battery business first...heres what that news release started about the deal with Gelest...An important first step in the Company's commercialization of its proprietary high volume liquid silicon precursor, cyclohexasilane, Si6H12 (CHS), is to produce it in volumes sufficient to sell to potential commercialization partners for testing, such as a commercial suppliers of materials used in Li-ion batteries and anode battery material. These sales by the Company of CHS produced by Gelest under the Agreement will represent the first revenue for this sector of the Company's operations, projected to reach $500,000 by the end of 2017. It is anticipated that the Company's CHS material would become a component of the anode, a major component of a lithium-ion battery as well as utilized in other key markets, such as solid state lighting, printable electronics, microelectronics and solar energy.".... I believe they may have had great interest from someone in the Lithium-ion battery business interested in 3dicons CHS and moved quickly in that direction. We will find out ! have a great day all!! The best is yet to come!!
