We're not being "scammed." There is nothing personal here. He'll make it work because he's motivated by exactly what you rightly pointed out were the problems:
- the other guys didn't have skin in the game (and Chung, after Lugee coming aboard is not skin in the game, in my opinion, because last time he did it to make a quick buck. This time I think he did it because he knows he's already guaranteed a huge return in a year or so with his 1.6 mill shs buy averaging at .18. My point is, Chung has no risk in my opinion), Lugee does have $64 mill in (with the last tranche at .25 for 100 mill shares) and his investments in those j.v.'s all related to AM are just additional investment that bring his AM investments upwards of $100 mill+;
- they didn't know how to get a customer - Lugee has them with Eon;
- they didn't have the money - Lugee is very well-heeled;
- their talk was inaction - anyone that digs will find that Lugee backs up his words with action. I was highly suspect of that as well, but his two separate j.v.'s to back up his words and the critical aspect of those j.v.'s to the supply chain are incredibly strategic, well thought out, and necessary to compete on cost; and
- they didn't have the scientific capability or the work ethic - Lugee is pretty damn sharp. I think he's even currently a professor, you know his involvement in the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the guy is cutting-edge on AM and Lugee is a beast who will push everyone there to perform and annex those who don't. That's good for morale too. I don't think Steipp was a slacker, but he just couldn't get it done for whatever reason, but was there for the Lugee deal, so stepping in it or not, this deal got done.
Could go on and on and on. You brought up some very pertinent issues why they were failures and most ignored them, but although they were borne out of personal animosity, they were very prescient. As we both noted, only time will tell, but the very important issues you raised, all look like they have now been - finally - after way too many years of nothing, addressed.
