Vert Capital, GOOGLE, PKGM, ShareRails (and Pixel, too):

In light of all the posts about Pixel's address and Vert Capital, I did some more digging.

It is my opinion that Vert moved Pixel in house, maybe in hopes of a buyout or planning for a bigger move elsewhere.

Regardless of the motivations, which I can only guess about, here is a very recent success story about Vert, one of their acquisitions, and some Googlers (ex and former):

ShareRails was just acquired by Grey Cloak Tech:

Who else was invested in ShareRails? Tomorrow Ventures (Google's Eric Schmidt's investment firm) and Grace Beauty Capital. This is relevant because Joseph Nejman, ex-Googler, is involved in both. He was also appointed to the BoD of PKGM, and MD of StudioVZ.

A global entrepreneur, Nejman is the co-founder of the mobile shopping platform ShareRails, powering social and conversational commerce applications. As an Entrepreneur in Residence for Eric Schmidt's Tomorrow Ventures, Nejman led seed investments in startups, including Maker Studios, which was purchased by Disney. He also co-founded the Tomorrow Media incubator to focus on social commerce.

Here is why I think Pixel has moved in house:

A certified 2016 H1B Visa application with a new address for Pixel. The place of employment is the same building as Vert. That's why I suspect the plans may be similar, and why I don't think Vert Capital is as shady as some think. For what it's worth, it also looks like Nejman is/was involved in at least one other Vert investment (DressNotes).

I try to follow the facts. Please don't take my posts as investment advice.
