Could this SEC request not in part be some of the work by Cofer Black and Co to bring to light the attacks on this Co.? Look at the timeline mentioned in the filing...Jan 2013-present. It doesn't take much to look back to when AF and aggressive shorting began taking place. Back in 2014 CREW requested the SEC investigate AF and HF's for blatant manipulation of NWBO stock price. Maybe it took the work of Black and others to bring a little more substance to the table so that the SEC would finally take notice. Maybe the devastation we see playing out is what unfortunately was needed to have the SEC take action. This is all JMHO but you certainly can't say that this is the SEC investigating NWBO.

On December 13, 2016, the Company received a formal information request from the SEC regarding several broad topics that have been previously disclosed, including the Company’s membership on Nasdaq and delisting, related party matters, and the Company’s special committee investigation. The period covered is January 1, 2013 to the present. The Company intends to cooperate fully.
