Options expire this Friday - Shorts are not responsible - this is typical options week manipulation by MM's and hedge funds coupled with an effort to wash out as much retail as possible. The mechanism is largely wash trading - the same thing those two young men just got busted for.

The big boys never get prosecuted for breaking the law.
