Coca Cola Classic is original coke. They gave up on the new coke version and went back to manufacturing the old.

It's not really a fair comparison to compare something that actually exists to a made up scam. Both New Coke and Old Coke (classic) were actual products. The entire cell project was a scam and nothing more. There are other companies run by the same people that do this over and over again with different scam ideas.

Have you read about Carbon Sciences? Their history is hilarious but whoever came up with their scams was not nearly as clever as Nelson. They are much more entertaining in terms of how laughable they are. Just read through their company news. They actually tried to convince people they were going to make gasoline from the air! Then they switched to making gasoline from tapped out natural gas wells in the back of a semi trailer, which obviously failed too. After that they switched to developing better ways to manufacture graphene out of the blue. I can only assume it was to avoid having to pay to change the name of the company. Finally, they claimed to have perfected a way to make graphene better than anybody else, but then decided to not actually do it! Now they are looking into using graphene to "make the internet faster".

Keep in mind this company was started by literally the same three or four individuals that started Solar3D!

It's what they do. They make tech scams again and again to keep up with whatever is trendy. They milk as much cash from the naive investors who buy their shares as they can, and then they switch up their focus and do it again.

Here is a link to their page: http://carbonsciences.com/news_all.php

You'll notice it uses the exact same web template as the old SLTD site did, I am sure it's just a coincidence!

Also, all of these crap scam companies are trying to copy Nelson with a "growth by acquisitions" plan:

Carbon Science recently announced its growth-by-acquisition strategy to extend its presence in the $3.8 trillion worldwide information technology (IT) market. The services sector alone accounts for approximately $1 trillion of the total worldwide IT market.

We plan to grow by acquiring profitable IT services providers specializing in areas such as managed services, consulting, and cloud computing, that serve the needs of customers in various industries. Our plan is to aggressively increase the number of customers that regularly depend on these services, and ultimately become a substantial IT services business.

It's not working for them, and I guess it's not working here either since they canned it recently.

Nelson has told you over and over in no uncertain terms that they have moved to the integration side of the business full disclosure to not invest for the cell.

The last word from Nelson on the cell is that they are still seeking a manufacturing partner. It's true his language has softened quite a bit to the point where he is getting ever so close to telling the truth, but he still states they are in the process of seeking a manufacturing partner.

Nelson is such a shifty guy he can say many things just by saying one thing. I notice that when he says something like "Think of the cell as a bonus", some people hear "Don't Invest in the Cell, it's dead!" and others hear "Wow what a great bonus, can't wait until it's out!"

But the fact is that the official position of the company is that they continue to seek a manufacturing partner.

Anyone with a rudimentary understanding already realizes that solar panels are a commodity and that companies like First Solar and Sunpower who tried to differentiate themselves by investing in and manufacturing high efficiency cells have not fared any better from a stock price perspective than SUNW. If you bother to read their reports you would see that First Solar is seriously concerned about downward pricing pressure on standard panels. Panel economis are the reason it failed not that it's a scam.

Nobody can compete with Chinese dumping mediocre panels that is true, and yes it should have been obvious from the beginning that this cell would fail on economic reasons alone assuming one thing. You would have to assume that Nelson was full of it when he projected the operating efficiency and costs of the cell. I think I remember him saying it would produce double the energy for much less than double the cost, all using existing manufacturing methods. He promised the impossible, profited from his promise, and of course the promises fell flat.
