All kidding and fantasies aside, I believe it is important for all to remember that the Federal case and judgement couldn't be changed by a State court. However, what could have and likely did happen was that the State settlement had the boot boys over a barrel and leveraged to the point that Marc was able to extract the exact same amount from the boot boys in the State settlement as was owed to the boot boys in the Federal settlement. Thus the Federal judgement was not changed or touched and the State case just leveled the amount owed by each party to net sum zero and all parties parted ways amicably, neither owing the other anything. Attorney fees to be paid by each.

I really believed that with the evidence Marc had on the boot boys for tortious interference that Marc would eventually be awarded several million in damages from lost sales and revenue. Because of the high cost of taking this all the way to trial to try to exact those damages from the boot boys on one side and the thought of going to jail or paying those damages eventually on the other side, both parties just agreed to part ways without either partying owing anything to the other.
