Scientists are human and vulnerable to narrative bias (just like investors, which is a real impediment to sound investing), but are perhaps the best equipped to overcome it: well-trained scientists know and follow the scientific method and their ability to pursue and obtain truth through experimentation and falsification. It's why no scientists believes the Earth is 4,000 years old, though you can still find many non-scientists who do even today.
