Why wouldn't the FDA not favor the adaptive design if done correctly and more accurate it is more efficient and it makes the FDA's job easier? Additionally, more pressure is being exerted on the FDA to speed up its drug approval process -- witness the Cures Act. How can the FDA be more efficient in drug approvals if it clings to the old design?
