Yet Wrong Again! Why do you think the DOD/CIO's office talked with SFOR CEO Mark Kay and arranged for a briefing by ACS (our U.S. Government Distributor) on Mobile Trust Version 3? We were the fourth briefing the CIO took. His policy guy told me my letter to the WH got to them at the right time. They had two presenters that week and one scheduled next to address their mobile device COMSEC issue. They are considering the offerings of ALL the cyber security vendors large & small who gave sales presentations. This is mandated by law. Last year the SBA lobbied and got Congress to pass a legislative rule making that DOD MUST consider the products offered by small businesses. That was to make a level playing field out of what had been too long tilted in favor of large defense contractors.
That is law which would now be in DOD procurement cycle regulations. How do I know? I was a USAF finance officer for a year until cross training into the operational side of the house.
