Could this be why Pixelmag wants to go public now? Maybe they feel that there is more money to be made by realigning their business to a SAAS model, fundamental to the publishing industry, with significant changes to their overall business model.

"We feel that it's time to move away from a revenue share pricing model, in favor of one that's based on a much simpler SAAS model where we are compensated on a flat fee per month, per Newsstand model," continued Marquis.
