The denial of the IPR with UP, IMO, finally validated the fact that these patents might actually have merited value.

The allowance of the IPR with Apple, regarding the same intellectual property, makes no sense, and normally I would say it's very conspiracy theory to think that the connections to Apple with USPTO had something to do with it. However, something tells me that there's probably some truth to that.

The PTAB set precedent with the first denial, so now it's going to involve the lawyering aspect and where Rumblebum mentioned the professors versus the students. For once I think the needle has swung in VPLM's direction. Virtual office and all.
