I truly think a lot of people have underestimated both of them. The initial response to Paul coming aboard from the posters here was excitement and praise for his track record, character and abilities. Over time many have changed their minds about Paul. Why? Not because his track record or character have changed, but because of the fact Liquidmetal has not generated any revenue. If Paul thought he made a mistake, I'm sure he could go back to his old job or find something better. He's not going to hang around to be part of a scam. Tom on the other hand has made progress using his talents by strategically bringing the right partners aboard and keeping the company afloat (out of bankruptcy). Now that Li is onboard and highly invested in the company, the company is ready to build out production. I'm sure Tom and Paul had to make sure that they had commitments before Li would place his investment in the company. One of those commitments just may be from Apple. If I'm right, Tom knew it was time to bring in a CEO with a manufacturing and sales background, so they are.
